Pax Christi International (PCI) is a Catholic organization with headquarters in Brussels and "autonomous" branches in over 30 countries.
Its International President is the Nazareth-born, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Michael Sabbah, who advocates for the Palestinian "right of return" and is a vocal critic of the Israeli security barrier
PCI promotes the "Durban Strategy" by accusing Israel of "collective punishment" and "indiscriminate" attacks on Palestinians; dismisses Palestinian agency by claiming that the "occupation is the fertile soil for terrorism"; and places sole responsibility for making peace in Israel's hands. In a 2003 statement, PCI characterized acts of terrorism as acts of "resistance".
PCI's website is not transparent regarding its funding, only stating that "funding comes from contributions from the national sections and other sources like grants, sales of publications and newsletter subscriptions."
