Human Rights Watch's (HRW) bias and double standards regarding Israel continued in 2007. Despite a major increase in internal Palestinian violence, including the Hamas takeover of Gaza, HRW's focus on Israel did not changed significantly. HRW's strong political agenda is evident in its arbitrary description of Israel's Gaza policy as "collective punishment" - a detailed analysis of HRW's publications and statements in 2007 revealed that no other blockade in the world had been characterized as such.
