The European Union is a major source of funding for many political NGOs that promote radical pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli positions, justified as support for "human rights and democracy projects as a means of ensuring international stability."

EU-funded NGOs in this category include ICAHD, PHR-I, MIFTAH and I'lam. The European Community Humanitarian Office (ECHO) provides funding to Caritas, Save the Children, Islamic relief worldwide, ICJ and Amnesty International. The EU also operates the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network, which features political attacks against Israel.
