Responsibilities for Researcher involve monitoring and responding to developments in the NGO world as directed and in-depth research and writing for The Amuta for NGO Responsibility (R.A) projects. The Researcher will also be assigned portfolios of specific NGOs and NGO-funders, about which he will be responsible for developing expertise. The position also involves close coordination and work with members of the research team, including the President, the Managing Editor, the Legal Advisor, and other researchers. The Researcher will be primarily supervised by the Managing Editor, though may be supervised by other Senior Staff on specified projects.
NGO Monitor is seeking a full-time Researcher to investigate the political activities, reports, and funding of NGOs in the Arab-Israeli conflict (see www.ngo monitor.org). The position involves in-depth research and writing for major NGO Monitor projects. Most of the research is web-based, often under significant time pressure. Also involves academic research.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in political science, international relations, law, or related field. Advanced degree a major plus.
- At least two years of research experience in an academic environment is required.
- Mother tongue English and competent Hebrew are essential.
- Must be able to work from our Jerusalem office.
