NGO Monitor Reports

The United Kingdom Changes Its Universal Jurisdiction Law

The new law requires the consent of the Director of Public Prosecutions before an arrest warrant is issued for a privately-instigated prosecution in which universal jurisdiction offenses have allegedly occurred.

Al Haq: Politics over the Rule of Law

Al Haq is a leader in anti-Israel demonization campaigns through lawsuits (“lawfare”) and BDS activities. Sees Palestinian September initiatives in the UN as an opportunity for more anti-Israel attacks.

Changes in NIF funding – 2010 grants

Approximately 26% of NIF's 2010 funding ($4.3 million) went to highly politicized groups involved to varying degrees in delegitimization campaigns. The 2010 grants do not reflect any apparent changes or implementation of NIF guidelines.

Australian Senate Highlights BDS and Ma’an Center Funding

Senator Eric Abetz asked officials from the Australian Agency for International Development about “safeguards in place that prevent AusAID funding being used ...in a manner that contravenes Australian government policy on Israel? Let us just pluck an example out of the air like BDS—Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions.”

NIF 2010 Financial Report: CWP Continued to Receive Funds, Despite Denials

Background and Analysis Regarding Knesset “Anti-Boycott Law”

Briefing Note: International NGOs and the "Flytilla"

Activists are planning to fly into Israel via commercial airlines on July 8, 2011. Organizers are calling the event "The Return from Exile Project" and claim they are flying "in support of the Palestinian strategy for returning to their homes, restoring their freedom and exercising their self-determination."

Christian Aid’s Palestinian Refugee Report: One-Sided Advocacy Fuels the Conflict

In a 2011 publication, Christian Aid has again strongly backed the Palestinian version and reinforced the image of Palestinians as victims, incapable of changing positions that fuel the conflict. The report is another example of the role of political advocacy NGOs in intensifying the conflict through one-sided activities and campaigns.

International Campaigns by New Israel Fund and Its Grantees

Indirect Dutch Government Funding: ICCO and Cordaid support for radical NGOs

ICCO and Cordaid, which receive millions of euros from the Dutch government, fund some of the most radical NGOs active in the Arab-Israeli conflict - including groups that are active in anti-Israel BDS.
