Government Donors

Governments have the financial capacity to provide significant support to NGOs, to further the country's development goals. However, this money is sometimes given to organizations whose activities and publications contradict a government's development aims, and violate funding guidelines. The reports below detail how funds from the governments of USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland, and the EU, along with the World Bank, have been used to support highly politicized NGOs that contribute to conflict, and in some cases to incitement.
