infoBDS_makoOn April 5, 2016, Israeli news platform Mako published an in-depth timeline about the development of BDS (boycotts, sanctions, and divestments) campaigns, as part of its “Love Israel” project to fight BDS.

Based on research provided by NGO Monitor, the timeline begins with the 2001 Durban Conference, and shows how BDS activists have attempted to single out Israel as a human rights violator and “apartheid” state. To increase pressure on Israel and the international community, BDS supporters have, over the past 15 years, introduced numerous initiatives including “Apartheid Week” and academic boycotts on university campuses worldwide.

In addition to working with Mako on the timeline, NGO Monitor has published numerous reports, op-eds, and statements on BDS and related issues.
