An analysis of Norwegian funding to international, Israeli, and Palestinian NGOs active in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The EU´s decision to label products from Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Golan Heights was heavily influenced by highly politicized NGOs, many of which are deeply involved in BDS and working against two-state peace models.
CWP is a leader in the boycotts, divestments, and sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel, primarily through its Who Profits project. Campaigns include the UC Berkeley divestment effort (2010), the Norwegian Governments Pension Fund which led to divestment from Elbit, and targeting of banks, security companies, civil infrastructure facilities, and private firms.
Norway provides tens of millions of kroner annually to NGOs that are involved in anti-Israel boycott campaigns and the Stop the Wall Campaign in Norway. Norway also funds extreme Israeli and Palestinian groups. Norwegian Peoples Aid accuses Israel of "war crimes" and "collective punishment," and uses "apartheid" rhetoric. A NORWAC member, Dr. Mads Gilbert has engaged in radical propaganda, including justifying the 9/11 attacks and false claims on the Gaza conflict. Norwegian Church Aid is an "important affiliate" of the Stop the Wall Campaign in Norway.
