The Danish government funds numerous NGOs that are centrally involved in the Durban Strategy of political warfare, which seeks to demonize and delegitimize Israel.
In the first quarter of 2012, 29 of 40 NGO projects that received foreign government funding relate to the Arab-Israeli conflict. In this time period, Norway provided 3,045,071 NIS to Israeli NGOs.
In sharp contrast to Dutch government policy, direct and indirect funding supports NGOs that are active in BDS campaigns. In their response to this report, the Dutch Foreign Minister and State-Secretary of Foreign Affairs indicated that failure to end these activities may result in a cessation of funding.
Al Haq is a leader in anti-Israel demonization campaigns through lawsuits (lawfare) and BDS activities. Sees Palestinian September initiatives in the UN as an opportunity for more anti-Israel attacks.
Many of the grantees actively oppose the compromises necessary for a peace agreement, and engage in anti-Israel campaigns such as BDS (boycotts, divestment, and sanctions) and legal cases against Israeli officials and businesses.
