NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem-based research institute, has documented Oxfam’s funding of BDS activity. An e-mail to Right Turn from NGO Monitor reads, in part:
In 2013, the Dutch branch of Oxfam (Oxfam Novib) provided funding in the amount of NIS 406,300 [shekels, about $115,000] to Coalition of Women for Peace (CWP), an Israeli NGO that is a leader in the international BDS campaign and singles out Israel. CWP runs “Who Profits,” a website that is central to the BDS lobby, identifying targets for anti-Israel divestment and boycotts – including SodaStream, Israeli banks, and the Mekorot water company.
The e-mail continues:
In addition, Oxfam Novib, funded mainly by the government of the Netherlands, is a regular contributor to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PHCR) – the leading organization that promotes legal warfare against Israel, which attempts to bring about the arrest of Israeli officials abroad. The organization accuses Israel of apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and war crimes, and refers to attacks on Israeli citizens as “resistance.”
NGO Monitor has put together a helpful fact sheet.
