Miftah

Founded by Edward Said, Hanan Ashrawi, Azmi Bishara and others, Miftah, claims to promote "global awareness and knowledge of Palestinian realities" . However, some of its claims were exposed as fabrications in a December 2004 CAMERA report, and it routinely describes Israel as an apartheid state and characterizes Palestinian terrorists as "activists." FIDH: International Federation of Human Rights (Paris)

FIDH is a Paris-based federation of 141 NGOs from 92 countries with consultative or observer status with several international bodies. In its mission statement, FIDH seeks to contribute to the respect of all the rights defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. While claiming to be strict and impartial in its work, FIDH shows a strong anti-Israel bias by focusing disproportionate resources on condemning Israel, selectively interpreting international humanitarian law, dismissing the context of terrorism, largely ignoring Israeli victims of terror, and denying Israels right to self-defense. FIDH receives funding from international and national bodies and foundations, but it does not disclose the sources of its funding

On June 7, 2022, the UN Human Rights Council “Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel” (COI) published its first report. As expected, this initial report perpetuates outright falsehoods, and relies on information provided by terror-linked and anti-Israel NGOs to previous UN bodies. This is consistent with the COI’s prejudicial mandate and the bias of commission members.

CNN Cites Consultant Who Teams Up with NGOs to Bash Israel

On May 24, 2022, CNN published an article alleging that evidence suggests that Shireen Abu Akleh was killed in targeted attack by Israeli forces. This inflammatory charge, which was vehemently denied by the IDF, relies heavily on claims made by Chris Cobb-Smith who has joined with the most politicized anti-Israel NGOs in pushing false or unsubstantiated accusations of Israeli violations of the laws of war.
