On April 20, 2020, the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) published a “fact sheet” that promotes numerous allegations originating with Israeli and Palestinian NGOs which have been proven false, or are simply outdated.
On March 30, 2020, the EU Representative Office to the West Bank and Gaza sent a “clarification letter regarding the EU-funded contracts” to Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO) appearing to give in to Palestinian pressure and effectively annul EU regulations that prohibit the transfer of EU funds to terror groups or individuals connected to these groups.
On April 30, NGO Monitor sent a letter to the President of the European Commission regarding the EU anti-terror clause.

On April 13, 2020, the Foundation for Middle East Peace (FMEP) hosted a webinar on “Israel-Palestine at the ICC,” featuring speakers from Human Rights Watch (HRW), Al-Haq, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), and B’Tselem. The webinar advanced the NGOs’ long-standing campaign to pressure the International Criminal Court (ICC) to open an investigation of Israelis over alleged war crimes.
CCFD-Terre Solidaire (Comité catholique contre la faim et pour le développement-Terre Solidaire) is an association of 29 secular and religious movements that supports more than 753 projects in 63 countries in collaboration with local partners.
On February 25, 2020, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the bureaucratic arm of the Human Rights Council, presented an update on the 2019 Commission of Inquiry into the violence along the Israel-Gaza border. As with previous UN pseudo-investigations on Israel, this COI ignored legal standards and readily and publicly available information to accuse Israel of “war crimes” and other violations. The 2020 update continued to promote this false narrative and the biased HRC agenda.
In February 2020, Belgium invited invited Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCI-P) Senior Advisor for Policy and Advocacy Brad Parker to brief the Council on February 24. DCI-P has ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), designated as a terrorist organization in the US, EU, Israel, and Canada.
On January 28-29, 2020, for the first time, the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) undertook a review of the “State of Palestine.” The Concluding Observations highlight a number of such significant failures by the Palestinians to adhere to the Convention and the overall politicization of the CRC.
Since 2016, NGOs, including a number of groups with ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), have been actively lobbying the UN by signing multiple letters and statements calling for the database to be implemented without further delay.
