Importantly, as part of the NGO Durban Declaration and accompanying BDS campaigns, advocacy organizations have sought to turn the ICC into a court of universal jurisdiction. Like their exploitation of the UN and other international frameworks, these NGOs seek to use the ICC for demonization and to brand Israeli officials as “war criminals.”
The vast majority of NGOs that appeared before the UN Human Rights Council session on July 23 condemned alleged Israeli war crimes and called for a Goldstone-like investigation into the current conflict.
How Soros-funded Groups Increase Tensions in a Troubled Region
Yitzhak Santis describes the role of European funding in the Durban strategy of demonizing and isolating Israel.
New funding in 2011 includes three divisive NGOs: +972 Magazine, Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement, and Human Rights Defenders Fund. Support ended for Mada al-Carmel, Al-Qaws, and Coalition of Women for Peace.
NIFs response sought to divert attention from its massive credibility gap. Anyone familiar with NIFs agenda and funding practices recognizes the anti-Zionist rhetoric and campaigns.
In addition to misrepresenting UN General Assembly Resolution 194, which does not mandate a wholesale "right of return" as alleged, the NGOs completely disregard the Jewish refugees from Arab countries who were driven from their homes following the establishment of the State of Israel.
