The  International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights is considered the most foundational human rights treaty and forms part of what is known as the International Bill of Human Rights.

The Human Rights Committee oversees State compliance with the Treaty and every State Party to the ICCPR is reviewed every four years or so. The review process includes a submission and dialogue with the State Party and submissions and formal and informal meetings with NGOs.

On February 28-March 25, 2022, the Committee will consider the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of six different countries, including Israel. NGO Monitor submitted a written statement and an oral statement. See below for these statements.
