On May 6, 2010, Ittijahs head Amir Makhoul was arrested for allegedly spying on behalf of Hezbollah. Ittijah played a prominent role in the NGO Forum of the 2001 Durban Conference. The organization supports anti-Israel boycotts and advocates for the Palestinian "right of return."
Israeli NGO Zochrot will host a conference on the "Right of Return" of Palestinian refugees, funded by and including speakers from anti-Israel NGOs, many of which are funded by European governments, church-based foundations, and the New Israel Fund.
