NGO Monitor's submission focuses on Israel’s adherence to the International Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD). NGO Monitor beleives it is important to provide the Committee with certain contextual information that is necessary in order to conduct a credible and productive review.
On July 6-7 2019, the Palestine Expo conference and exhibition was held at the London Olympia convention center in the United Kingdom. The event served as a platform for organizers and participants to espouse anti-Israel rhetoric, antisemitism, and promote BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanctions) as well as demonization and delegitimization campaigns
NGOs have already begun to exploit the three significant anniversaries related to the Arab-Israeli conflict, which will be marked in 2017. NGO Monitor estimates that these efforts will intensify as the respective anniversaries draw near, and activists will use them to lend artificial urgency and resonance for their agendas.
