Analysis of NIF grants to 25 political advocacy NGOs active in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
As in previous years, NGO Monitor has analyzed the 2014 financial reports of the New Israel Fund, detailing grants provided to a wide variety of Israeli NGOs active in political campaigns against Israel, including BDS, lawfare and demonization.
Attorney Michael Sfard, a leading figure in the global lawfare movement who has served as legal counsel for a number of highly biased and politicized NGOs, will testify as an expert witness for the PLO before a New York federal court.
New funding in 2011 includes three divisive NGOs: +972 Magazine, Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement, and Human Rights Defenders Fund. Support ended for Mada al-Carmel, Al-Qaws, and Coalition of Women for Peace.
The new Israeli NGO/think tank, Molad, has the appearance of a political and ideological vehicle for founder Avraham Burg and for individuals from radical NGOs such as Breaking the Silence and Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement.
