Founded by Edward Said, Hanan Ashrawi, Azmi Bishara and others, Miftah, claims to promote "global awareness and knowledge of Palestinian realities" . However, some of its claims were exposed as fabrications in a December 2004 CAMERA report, and it routinely describes Israel as an apartheid state and characterizes Palestinian terrorists as "activists." At the Durban Review Conference PrepCom (October 6-17), BADIL accused Israel of "systematic ethnic cleansing" and "institutionalized racism and discrimination" which "constitutes a root cause of consequence of the ongoing internal forcible displacement and dispossession of the Palestinian people." These statements are part of its campaign for the "right of return of the Palestinian people," and in pursuit of the "Durban strategy" of demonization. BADIL is funded by Trocaire (Ireland), Norway, Switzerland, Oxfam, and others.
While ISM describes itself as “a Palestinian-led movement committed to resisting the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land using nonviolent, direct-action methods and principles,” its own mission statement states, “we recognize the Palestinian right to resist Israeli violence and occupation via legitimate armed struggle."
The Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees (UPWC) is affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and is active in advocacy lobbying "decision makers and legislators to issue a modern civil laws set to ensure developing the Palestinian community.”
The Culture and Free Thought Association regularly places sole blame on Israel for conflicts in Gaza, including referring to the 2014 war as “Israel’s War on Gaza.”
DCI-P leads the campaign exploiting children to promote demonization of Israel, and is linked to the PFLP terror group. Many of its allegations are false and part of attempts to smear Israel with allegations of "war crimes" and promote BDS.
