2018 Gaza Border Violence
Since March 30, 2018, Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups have organized violent confrontations along Gaza’s border with Israel under the label of the “March of Return.” The riots consisted of an organized armed attack on the Israeli border and IDF positions, attempts to destroy and breach the border fence, and sustained arson, rocket, and mortar attacks on Israeli civilian communities.
Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights (LPHR) runs a project titled “Protect Human Rights Defenders” to “support harassed or detained Palestinian human rights defenders by submitting cases to the UN and EU member states.”

On June 19, 2014, Israel’s Defense Minister declared IRW to be illegal, based on its alleged role in funneling money to Hamas, and banned it from operating in Israel and the West Bank.
