NGOs and their officials have focused almost exclusively on demonizing Israel for responding to the attacks and alleging “indiscriminate” and “disproportionate” violations, while at the same time ignoring Palestinian war crimes.
On May 10-12, 2021, Palestinian terror groups in Gaza fired over 1000 rockets and mortars toward Israeli population centers – each one an unequivocal war crime. As with previous flare-ups involving Gaza, NGOs and NGO officials that claim to promote human rights have ignored the blatant Palestinian violations against Israeli civilians.
On November 12, Palestinian Islamic Jihad launched hundreds of rockets at Israeli population centers. According to media reports, one of these projectiles misfired, hitting a Gaza building that houses the office of the Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR). However, several international and Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) immediately blamed Israel for the attack, providing no evidence for their claims.
On May 4 and May 5, 2019, Palestinian terror groups in Gaza fired over 600 rockets and mortars toward Israeli population centers, murdering four Israeli civilians. NGOs and NGO officials that claim to promote human rights have ignored the blatant Palestinian violations against Israeli civilians. Some have remained silent altogether, while others have focused exclusively on demonizing Israel for responding to the attacks.
Most NGOs and NGO officials have completely ignored the over 400 rockets and missiles fired at Israel. The few that have commented have exclusively focused on demonizing Israel.
