Ireland, via its program for overseas development Irish Aid, provides millions of euros through direct and indirect funding processes to politicized non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in Ireland, Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza.
Sadaka is an “independent, non-governmental and non-party political organisation.” However it is active in lobbying the Irish government and the European Union “in support of the national, democratic and human rights of the Palestinian people.”
Trócaire claims to work "in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) and Israel." Its description of the region claims a population of 4.1 million (see below). The population of the West Bank and Gaza is appoximately 4 million, while that of Israel is over 8 million. Trócaire thus seems to serve only the population in the West Bank and Gaza, although it claims to work in Israel as well.
Christian Aid Ireland is the Irish affiliate of Christian Aid and is highly active in supporting BDS campaigns.
