Transparency & Government Funding

Political NGOs receive massive amounts of funding from governments, both directly and indirectly via aid foundations. This funding is shrouded in secrecy: donors and recipients alike often fail to report the details of such funding, decision-making processes are hidden from public scrutiny, and governments refuse to release essential documentation.

Jewish Voice for Peace’s Funding Network

For 2019-2021, in total, NGO Monitor was able to identify $3,395,329 in donations and grants to JVP. Donors include private foundations that disburse funds at the discretion of directors, as well as foundations that act as conduits for private giving (“donor advised”).

World Bank Funding to Palestinian NGOs with Ties to Terror

In 2018-2021, the World Bank funded a $17 million project managed by an anti-peace Palestinian group, NGO Development Center. The project lists several NGO grantees that, according to the available evidence, have links to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Hamas, which is designated as a terror group by the US, the EU, Canada, and Israel.
